Our Process, Step by Step
Step 1 - The Initial Visit
Once you submit some basic property information such as the County where the property is located, the current owner's name and the number of acres in the tract, we will locate the property on the County land records and make an initial visit to the property. This initial visit will be of NO COST TO YOU. Normally this visit consists of a brief walk-thru to determine if your timber is mature enough to be harvested and a brief consultation with you on how, in our expert opinion, you should proceed to maximize your profits.
Step 2 - Do you want us to handle your timber sale?
If it is determined that your timber is mature enough to be harvested, and if you would like for us to handle the sale of your timber, we will provide you with a written timber sale agreement. This agreement will spell out the terms of our agreement, including the commission amount. We sell timber strictly on commission, so rest assured we will sell your timber for the highest price possible.
Step 3 - You signed our Proposal, now what?
If you determine that the terms of our Proposal are agreeable, we will then revisit the property to flag the harvest boundaries, perform a timber "cruise" to determine the timber volume and apply current market prices to these volumes to determine the total timber value. This timber appraisal is a tool we use to determine how we should price your timber and will be of NO COST TO YOU.
Step 4 - The timber sale
Once our timber appraisal is complete, we will market your timber to 200+ timber buyers and find the one that will pay the most for your timber. Once we secure a timber sale contract between you and the timber buyer we will deliver the sale proceeds to you. You will not have to pay us the agreed upon commission until you have your timber sale money in hand.
